PETALING STREET: MALAYSIAN HAWKER FOOD

WHERE: Shop 4, 438-448 Anzac Parade KingsfordNSW 2032

Tonight J wanted a quick feed after coming from the gym and a long day of work. We usually go to our local Kingsford area as most restaurants would be opened until 10:30pm. We have visited this place numerous times before and would usually order our favourite dry egg noodles with hainan or roast chicken. Tonight we decided to opt for Mee Goreng and Egg Plant with  rice.

The Egg Plant with rice is half the portion of the Egg Plant in a hotpot, as I was not feeling overly hungry. The Egg Plant with mince was cooked really soft which was accompanied by onions, capsicum, coriander and a nice sauce.  The Mee Goreng was also cooked nicely with all the flavours combined with two prawns, vegetables, tomatoes, dried onions, cooked tofu and a lemon wedge.

Towards the end of finishing our meals, we were both quite full from ordering desserts, so instead had a scoop of Sticky Rice ice cream from Passion Flower next door. I really enjoyed this flavoured ice cream as It had pieces of black sticky rice inside.

Sticky Rice Ice Cream - One Scoop $5

Much love from J and C
