Dined at Chiswick in Woollahra the day after my graduation, last Thursday. A place where it was pretty difficult to find parking, even on a weekday because it was residential area.
Chiswick is a very refined restaurant looking restaurant which boasts a beautiful garden and wide open space. They also use freshly grown produce from the garden itself.
Serviced by a lovely lady named Jacky, who offered to take Justins Jacket but felt a little taken back when he refused. I then discovered that Justin was hiding a gift underneath. It was well played!
All dishes are made to share. First, we ordered some small dishes which included oysters, ocean trout and steak tartare. Roasted lamb for the main and of course strawberry sorbet for dessert.
The smaller dishes were tasty, especially the ocean trout with blood orange which goes well together. Very refreshing, just like the lychee drink.
Apparently the Lamb seemed like the specialty dish, which has received a lot of praise as seen on media, (Instagram, Television- Sydney Weekend.) The lamb was more like a home cooked meal, simple, lacked a bit of flavour however juicier pieces of meat fell off near the bone. The strawberry sorbet was a good option as we were feeling quite heavy after the lamb. It was a good palate cleanser and the sorbet was not as sour compared to other sorbets I've had in the past, which was excellent.
