BOUDIN FISHERMAN'S WHARF SAN FRAN

WHERE: 160 Jefferson St, San Francisco, CA 94133

I was recommended from a friend to must try the clam chowder in Fisherman's Wharf, especially the one from Boudin Bakery.
I believe it is a speciality in San Fran. The soup was really tasty and had a creamy texture. Wish it came with more soup than the bread and if you're thinking if we finished the bread bowl, the answer is no.

Relaxing atmosphere for a good stroll and lot and lots of seafood in this area.

ROSCOE'S HOUSE OF CHICKEN AND WAFFLES INGLEWOOD

WHERE: 621 W Manchester Blvd
Inglewood, CA 90301
United States

WEBSITE:  http://www.roscoeschickenandwaffles.com/

How can one pass up not paying a visit to Roscoe's when visiting America? Our driver passed by Roscoe's on our way to the shooting range. Thankfully we didn't eat breakfast yet and trying the chicken and waffle combination was on our list of things we must do in LA. Before visiting, our expectations were high as we were aware of how much Americans love their fried chicken.

As we were seated as a party of five, we were presented with different dishes, but all we wanted was the specialty. The server was very friendly and told us that the dishes were big, so we ordered one person less and boy was he right.

Still figuring out how this combination would work. The gravy with onions compliments the chicken, as the chicken could be more seasoned. Chicken was nicely fried. Very generous of providing two portion waffles. One waffle would have been good enough for us each.

1/4 Chix (3 pieces of chicken) with two waffles and syrup.

If you have dined at Roscoe's, let us know how your experience went and If you haven't does the combination of chicken and waffles tickle your fancy?

JOHNNY ROCKETS HOLLYWOOD LA

WHERE: Johnny Rockets. 6801 Hollywood Blvd Hollywood, CA. 90028.

Hi guys,

I am finally back from AMERICA!! Justin and I are so excited to share with you our food adventures, although most of the experiences we had were fast food take outs.

The first night when we landed in  LA, we did not know what to have for dinner. We walked along the Hollywood Boulevard and decided to eat at an American Diner, Johnny Rockets. After spending a few weeks in LA, we've realised that Johnny R's was a franchise.

When the burgers came out, they looked really small but to our surprise left us feeling rather stuffed.
Most of the burgers that we have ordered had chilli which I cannot find on the online menu.   The cheesy fries with bacon wasn't to bad. The burgers were extremely oily which left our fingers still smelling like grease after washing them. I was feeling full after half a sandwich.

After experiencing a mild heart attack, we decided to do some more walking. I wouldn't say it is a must try, but the amount of customer service received on the first night really made our expectations of dining at a fast food diner, rather satisfying. They even suggested to take a pic for us, since it was NYE :) This was our NYE Dinner.

PS: life lesson: Nothing is for free. Tipping rule at least 15% from total bill.

Bacon Cheese Fries (Fries topped with melted cheddar cheese and chopped smoked bacon.)

BBQ Chicken Bacon Melt. (Grilled chicken breast, cheddar cheese, smoked bacon, our crispy onion rings & tangy barbecue sauce on grilled sourdough bread.)
